Bag is made from heavy duty cotton, has a machine washable outer liner and the inner liner zips up to keep sand in place. These bags do not include sand. You can purchase sand easily at the toy store or plant shop. While you are adding sand, why not add a little lavendar? I can supply some in a separate bag if you like. Just make sure you request it when you place your order.
